Fella has been distilling schnapps and likore since 1977. From the beginning, the couple had recognized the opportunities of direct marketing and had presented themselves at festivals and, for example, at the legendary town festivals of historic hammelburg.

The offer also includes self-produced jams, cakes and preserved meat. It takes a lot of time to prepare all this. "You can often see only the opening hours", says wolfgang fella. Now they want to make more of a living.

Organic food now everywhere

In addition, the sales volume has decreased. "Organic food is now available everywhere", says ingrid fella. The decline was particularly noticeable when the specialist retail center in kissinger strabe opened its doors. Today, easy parking also influences shopping behavior. "I understand that", she says sincerely. Turnover has also cost the one or other legal regulation. At one point, they were no longer allowed to offer the popular turkey meat, because resellers were only allowed to offer goods from an EU-certified slaughterhouse.

She did not want to recommend the takeover of the store with the previous assortment to someone else. "There were times when that had worn", let them know. But in the meantime one could no longer live from it.There have been some positive developments in terms of tourism. This was noticed in the farm store.
